WEEK18: Home Decor with Everyday Paper Dolls & Winter Woodland

Hello Everybody!! This is Tammy and today is HOME DECOR Tuesday!! But, before I show my project for today... we have more important business to take care of!! Today, we announce the winner of our "You Pick" cartridge giveaway in conjunction with Craft-e-Corner! And the lucky winner's comment was:

I just found you blog, and I LOVE it! I just got a cricut, so I love seeing all of your projects and what I might do. Especially if I could win more cartridges! :)

Contact us at cricutchristmas@gmail.com if you are the winner with your name, address, and cartridge pick from the Craft-E-Corner website. Thanks and congratulations!!

Now for the home decor...

I love birdhouses and this year, birds seem to be the 'trendy' thing. I took this birdhouse and painted it red then stained it with a black wash. I added paper from MAKING MEMORIES Christmas line.

I cut the trees from WINTER WOODLAND and the Santa & Reindeer came from PAPER DOLLS DRESS UP.  And the 'North Pole' was welded with my gypsy using DON JUAN, it was cut at 1".

My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby and I love the pins that coordinate with the MAKING MEMORIES paper line... can you see them?  They have little Christmas trees on the end.

Confession time! I made my birdhouse, but I did not make the Santa & Reindeer paper dolls. My mom is a paper doll pro and she sells them at local retreats & crops... so, she made them from PPDU and I bought them from her!  Aren't they soooo cute?!  She calls them "Lizzie's Kids"!

Thanks so much for visiting us today!!  I hope that everyone has a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving holiday and if you are traveling... please, please be safe!  Don't forget to check out our guest designers' HOME DECOR projects!

Monique's HOME DECOR did not disappoint! Click HERE to see how she made this adorable "Home for the Holidays!!" project...

Mandy blew me out of the water with this gorgeous snowflake tree!! You have to click HERE to see more of this one!

Have a great day!!!

Week 18: Simple Card Monday using Paper Doll Dress Up

Hello, everyone! This is Melanie and it is Simple card Monday! Can you believe that November is almost over? I can't! Christmas will soon be here and I have a card that is VERY easy to make, and would be great to send out to all of your friends and family!

This is a regular A2 sized card (5 1/2" x 4 1/4"). The first layer is 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" and was embossed with my cuttlebug using the 'Winter Trees' folder. Since the cardstock is core'diantions, I sanded it down to show the beautiful green colored core.

The tree is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge at 3" and adhered to the top two layers which are 3 x 3 1/2" and 2 5/8" x 3 3/8". Then I adhered pink rhinestones to mimic ornaments.

The stamp and ribbon is from Papertrey ink.
