WEEK20: Home Decor - WHEN ITS COLD OUTSIDE & SERENADE

Hi!  This is Tammy and today's home decor actually takes place in my 'other' home... my church.  I attend Christ Community Church in The Colony, Texas and several ladies from our women's ministry got together to decorate the church for Christmas.  Because of a winter wedding and the series our pastor is preaching on... a Winter Wonderland theme was chosen.  After all, aren't you amazed at God's talents when you wake up to a fresh snowfall... it's breathtaking.  Well, this is the stage at the front of our church (hence the mic stands and instruments)... I think it turned out beautifully!

I have to give credit where credit is due... Holly, Leeanne, Cheri, Karen, Amy and a few others did all the work!  I simply provided some snowflakes and red cardinals!

Recognize the large snowflake on the back wall?  I cut several snowflakes from WHEN ITS COLD OUTSIDE all different sizes!  I used Core'dinations 'Pearl' cardstock... it is perfect for these snowflakes because it is sturdy enough to hang independently, but cuts all those intricate details so well!

Ahhh... the red cardinal is from SERENADE.  This one was cut at 8" out of cereal boxes and then I cut it out of shiny red cardstock and layered in onto the cereal box cut.

Isn't he cute in the trees!  Below is the left side of the stage.  Most of those snowflakes are dangling from the ceiling and some are on the back wall.

Look at how adorable the homemade snowman is!!  He has a little cardinal friend trying to snuggle up to him!

So you see... home decor isn't just for your personal residence... I consider my church 'home', too and am so happy to be able to use my cricut to help with anything they may need.  We have a group of women that meet in our fellowship hall the fourth Saturday of every month for FAITHBOOKING from 10am until midnight (our pastor thinks we are crazy, but he loves to stop by and see what we are doing!).  Faithbooking is just like scrapbooking, but is usually scripture based or represents your faith & beliefs in the form of a scrapbook.  We welcome anyone who wants to join us, so if you are in the Dallas area... remember... fourth Saturday of every month!

Thanks for visiting us today!  Don't forget that we are giving the exclusive Serenade away this week, so you will want to leave those comments!  And come back tomorrow for Joy's gift tags & packaging!

Scrappingly yours,

Week 20: Simple Card Monday with Serenade and Joys of the Season

Hello, everyone! This is Melanie and it is Simple Card Monday! I am so excited because this week we are highlighting Serenade! Let me tell you, ProvoCraft definitely got it right with this cartridge! I absolutely love it! The designs on it are very modern and positively adorable!

This card is the usual A2 size. I cut the branch at 2 1/4" with Serenade. The ornament is cut at 1 1/2" using Joys of the Season(pg. 62 in your handbook). Then put a little bit of liquid glass on the ornament to give it some shine. The patterned paper is from the SEI 'Christmas Mint' collection.

The Ribbon, cardstock, twine, and stamp is papertrey ink.

Here is today's video:

Thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you leave comments all week because you are going to want to add Serenade to your collection!

Have a great week!
